As usual, let’s first look at the best areas to live in general, and then turn our attention to the areas where it’s best to settle with children.
Palma de Mallorca
Palma de Mallorca is the capital of the island, a city that has a lot to offer. Among the most attractive areas to live here are the historic center and the Varrio de la Calatrava area. The latter is much quieter than the center. If you prefer more lively places, you will undoubtedly be tempted by the bohemian spirit of the Santa Catalina area and the charm of the old fishing district of Portitxol.
Sóller
If you want to live in the city, but do not want to give up either the sea or the mountains, then pay attention to the village of Sóller. It has beautiful modernist architecture and is surrounded by the splendor of mountains and valleys.
Pollensa
This town, located in the north of the island, attracts many foreigners. It is famous for the beauty of the landscapes, but you should remember that there will be more noise here. But maybe that’s not a negative for you.
Artà and Capdepera
You can’t resist these areas either if you’re looking for quiet areas to live in and discover a more traditional Mallorca. These villages are very well connected to Manacor and the beach area, but they still retain their rural charm.
Andratx
We can’t recommend Andratx enough. The rural landscape, the tranquility and the authentic Mallorcan atmosphere make this village very attractive for those who want to really enjoy the special atmosphere of the island and become part of it.
